“We've had an increase of people who are interested in our OCIA program and each time a new person inquires about it, it reminds me of my own decision to join the Catholic faith and how much it has truly changed my life.”
“We had a few of our Young Adults return to college and we had a fond farewell.”
“We had an amazing Mission Trip to Chicago in the middle of August for a back to school drive. We had over 10 young adults come!! It was a great experience and bonded a lot of us. I will add some photos and I can share more about it for your blog if you need me to! We also had a great end of the summer picnic, bible study, and beach volleyball!!! We had 40 young adults come to that and one girl who is not Christian!”
“We hosted a retreat for young adults centered around Saints and what it takes to become one. After looking at a variety of Saints and how Sainthood is bestowed, we then put into practice some of what we learned. We left in teams to go out and get supplies for everyone to have 3 bags to hand out to homeless people. These bags would reside in our vehicles until we met someone in need. We prayed over each bag and the person who would be receiving it as well as prayed for and with one another.”
“One of the young men in our parish in the RCIA program has become actively involved in the Young Adult events and is making great connections.”
“The parish had a wonderful family event with many ministries and groups preparing, cooking and selling food to the whole parish. The YA’s had delicious fruit syrups prepared and used a commercial machine to make sno-cones. It was a great collaborative project, and it was a very popular item at the event. Nice to see lots of smiles while working together for the good of the parish.”
"Baptized the baby of a couple of our BGCatholic Young Adults who was born early in the NICU. She is doing very well and they’ve been able to hold her. The best part of my week!"
