Partnering with your diocese
Recognizing a need in the U.S. Catholic Church, Saint Meinrad developed a program to educate and form permanent deacons for local churches.
Deacon candidates often have work and family commitments, so Saint Meinrad brings its program to the diocese. We partner with the diocese to help meet its specific needs. Academic, spiritual and practical components provide a balanced and integrated formation.
Since our program began in 1999, nearly 700 men from 23 dioceses have completed their formation and been ordained permanent deacons.
